Where I work there aren’t many places to eat, but this little Hungarian meat shop makes the best sandwiches around. This sandwich had turkey, mustard, red onion, lettuce, tomato, pepper jack cheese and pickles on a whole wheat roll. To drink I had a Sobe drink. It wasn’t too bad, it kinda tasted like koolaid. Before Lunch I had a cup of french onion soup.

I have decided to take tomorrow off of work for a “mental health” day…basically to get a 4 day weekend. Whoo hoo!! I probably won’t be posting dinner tonight, so I’ll tell you what the plan is….flatout pizza and a salad. I’ve never made a pizza on a flatout wrap so hopefully they turn out good. If I get a chance I’ll post the picture tonight.

This weekend is going to be a very busy one for us. Saturday is my future father-in-law’s birthday and Sunday is my nieces birthday. Hopefully I can keep my eating and drinking under conrol and not eat so much birthday cake. 🙂

Ok so on to lunch…I had another great sandwich, same as I had the other day.

  • Oroweat light bread
  • laughing cow cheese
  • spicy mustard
  • turkey
  • jalapenos

On the side I had an apple (saving it for later), Fage 2% (saving for later) and my left over soybeans from last night.

Edit: This was the first time I had tried the Fage 2%…I normally buy the 0% but they were out. I didn’t like the 2%, I ate about 75% of it though. I will not be buying this one again. I’m sticking to the 0%.

Forgot about the laughing cow August 26, 2008

I totally forgot how good Laughing Cow cheese was. Today for lunch I had a turkey sandwich on light Oroweat bread with the original swiss light laughing cow cheese, spinach, brown mustard, and jalapenos. WOW…this sandwich was so freakingood. But the trick was…heating it up it the microwave for a few seconds to get the cheese nice and creamy. This sandwich will definitely be seen again. On the side I had a salad with red onions, green bell pepper, olives, and cucumbers.

Have you ever heard that song before? Every time I make myself a PB&J sandwich I always sing that song. Yes, I know I’m a nerd. That song is just so funny to me. Anyways, for lunch I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with organic peanut butter and organic rasberry jelly from Trader Joe’s on Oroweat light whole wheat bread. I also had an organic lowfat Stonyfield blueberry yogurt. Hopefully this lunch keeps me full until 3pm. Before practice I’ll have a Clif Z Bar and an apple (no pic).

Snack, spinning, dinner and desert

When I changed the time zone on here the order of my pictures got messed up and I couldn’t figure out how to fix it. So the snack that I said I was going to have before spinning I didn’t end up having. Instead before the class I went to a friends house and made myself a turkey sandwich with spinach, pickles and mustard. After that I had 3 cookies (no pic)…they were so good I couldn’t stop at 1. They were the M&M kind.

Spin class was fun, I did sweat my butt off but the teacher was a little boring and she barely could keep up. The music wasn’t that great and that stupid seat hurt so bad. Does anyone else have a problem with the seat? Seriously, I’m more sore from the seat today then from anything else. After the 60 min spin class I did about 10 minutes on the treadmill, running and walking.

After the class I went home to make a quick dinner. I made an egg scramble using egg beaters, red onion, a morning star sausage patty, olives, roasted red pepper, buffalo sauce, mexican blend cheese and 1/2 an avocado on the side. I also toasted up an english muffin and put low fat cream cheese on one half. I love eggs! I could seriously eat them every meal everyday.

After dinner I still had room for desert. So I ate the last Dreyers Slowchurned Cookies & Cream bar. I definitely need to get some more of these.

Well I guess the flax didn’t really work that well. Around 10am my stomach started growling….so I just chugged some water and waited until lunch. My lunch today consisted of a turkey sandwich with red pepper hummus and cucumber on whole wheat Oroweat light bread. I also had a salad with cucumbers, red onion, green bell pepper olives and Italian spray dressing.

Notice the book I’m reading right now…it’s called Swapping Lives by Jane Green. I already read one of her books, Jemima J and absolutely loved it.
