Subway…eat fresh September 26, 2008

Mike and I got Subway for lunch. I got a foot long veggie delight on wheat bread with lettuce, tomato, pickles, olives, red onion, bell pepper, jalapenos, banana pepper and mustard. On the side I had a bag of sunchips. I ate the chips and half of the sandwich there and save the rest for later. I only took a pic of what I ate later.

I wanted to wait a little longer to eat my lunch but I couldn’t do it…I was too hungry. I started my lunch off with veggies (cucumber, carrots and zucchini) and red pepper hummus. The carrots weren’t good so I didn’t eat those. Next I had a great sandwich with turkey, laughing cow cheese, sprouts, cucumber, mustard, and 1/2 an avocado on low sodium Ezekiel bread. Later on I’ll probably have a plum.

I need to make a trip to the store soon because that was the last of our veggies and fruit. But I probably won’t have time until this weekend. :(

Mike and I both have games tonight so he’s going to pick dinner up for us on his way home. I’ll post my dinner tomorrow morning, like I usually do.

For snack I had bought a fruit platter thing from McDonalds…it was pretty good. I ate about 1/2 of the yogurt and everything else.

For lunch I had a tuna salad with spring mix, zucchini, cucumber, red onion, olives and a light balsamic vinaigrette.

I’m actually glad it is Monday. I don’t know why but I have the hardest time controlling myself over the weekend. I always eat and drink way too much. So today I need to get back on track.

Saturday night I had a little scare…I ended up in urgent care till 3am. Around midnight I was walking to the bathroom and half way there I felt the worst pain in my foot. It felt like a huge needle got stabbed in my foot. I looked down and saw a huge scorpion running across the room. I started scream to Mike to kill it!!!! He did and put it in a bottle and we rushed to the urgent care which is 45 minutes away from our house. When I got there the doctor said that it was definitely a poisonous one. They took my blood, put in an IV and gave me some medicine so I wouldn’t be nauseous. 2-3 hours later I was able to leave. He said I should be fine. Boy was that scary!

I just realized that I forgot my camera cord at home. I was in a hurry this morning and switched bags…I left it in the other bag. :( Sorry! I’ll have to upload my breakfast and lunch tomorrow. For breakfast I had instant oatmeal and a very ripe banana.

9-13-08 Breakfast and lunch September 13, 2008

Mike had to leave early this morning to take his CSET in Riverside at 7am. So I was up early with him. I did a 2.2 mile walk on the treadmill and then made breakfast. I had a spinach omelet with egg whites, cheese, salsa and avocado. On the side I had a whole wheat english muffin with lowfat cream cheese. Great breakfast…I love eggs!!!

I made a quick lunch before I went to my mom’s house. She needed help loading songs on her ipod. I made a chicken salad with mixed greens, olives, zucchini, cucumber, sprouts, cheese, and croutons with a light balsamic vinaigrette.

Tonight for dinner I’m planning on making tacos for Mike and a big taco salad for me….and a few light beers to drink. Hopefully I’ll be able to post the picture later.

EDIT: When Mike got home from taking his test we went to his sister’s house, but before we left I had a spinach pizza and 2 coors lights. When we got to his sister’s I made myself a turkey sandwich with mustard, cheese and lettuce with Doritos. I also had 2 bud light limes and a ice cream bar (270 calories). Not a very healthy night, but I’ll make up for it tomorrow. :)

I left work early to go home and take a nap. I ended up taking a 5 hour nap…wow…I guess I was really tired. When I woke up I made myself a turkey sandwich with laughing cow cheese, spinach, sprouts, pickles, and jalapenos. On the side I had a pear.

Mike was at his footbal game so I was on my own for dinner. I ended up having 2 spinach pizzas from Trader Joe’s. These things are so good!!! When Mike got home I had a Bud Light with him.

I left work early so I didn’t have time to post my lunch…I had a baggie full of edamame and a lean cuisine.

Sorry I don’t have pictures for dinner or my snack. Around 3pm I had a Luna bar, I believe it was chocolate raspberry…don’t think I really liked it, it tasted a little weird to me. After the volleyball games were over (8:30pm) we stopped for dinner at Sonic. I had never been there before but I heard that their food was awesome, not to mention their hilarious commericals. But I ended up getting a grilled chicken wrap (380 calories) and I had a few fries and a couple onion rings. To drink I got their diet cherry limeade…it’s made with real limes and cherries.

For lunch I went to the Hungarian place for a delicious sandwich. I got the normal turkey on wheat bread with mustard, lettuce, onions, pickles and tomato. To drink I got the Lean Sobe drink and a water. I have volleyball practice in an hour and we get out around 4:15pm today. I can’t decide if I want to go to the cycling class afterwards or go shopping. I know I really need to workout, I haven’t been to the gym since last Thursday. But I also need to go grocery shopping…maybe I’ll do both.
